My Account

My Account is where you manage your Thout profile, meeting behavior, and connected tools. Here you can update your name and photo, choose which languages Thout listens for, control how the Thout bot joins your meetings, turn notifications on or off, and connect your calendar and messaging apps. This guide covers the account overview, meeting languages, meeting participation, calendar sync, and connecting WhatsApp/Slack.

What the My Account page is

My Account is Thout's settings hub for your personal profile and preferences. It's split into two parts: your profile card on the left, and a detail panel on the right that changes depending on what you select.

Your name, email, and profile photo sit at the top of the My Account page.

Click Edit under your name to update your profile photo or display name.
Your email address (maya@glowlabs.co in this example) is shown but is tied to your login and connected calendar accounts.

Meeting languages

The Meeting languages panel controls which languages Thout listens for and transcribes during your meetings.

How to set your languages

From My Account, click Meeting languages in the Account list — the number badge (for example 4) shows how many are currently selected.
Tick the languages you want Thout to recognize. You can select up to 5 languages.
Selections save automatically as you tick or untick each language.

Meeting Participation

Meeting Participation controls how the Thout bot shows up and behaves inside your meetings.

What's on the panel

Bot name in meetings	The display name Thout's bot uses when it joins a call (for example, Join as... lets you set a custom name).
How should Thout join meetings?	Toggle for Auto join all — when on, Thout automatically joins every meeting on your calendar without you having to invite it each time.

Save Settings

Meeting Participation — bot name and the Auto join all toggle.

Open Meeting Participation from the Account list (it has a chevron since it opens a sub-panel).
Type a name in Join as... if you want the bot to appear under a custom name.
Turn Auto join all on or off depending on whether you want Thout joining every meeting automatically.
Click Save Settings to apply your changes.

Notifications and calendar sync

Below Meeting Participation, the Account list also holds your notification preference and calendar connection.

Notifications — a single toggle that turns Thout's notifications on or off.
Sync with Calendar — opens the calendar panel shown below, where you can connect or disconnect calendars.

Sync with Calendar — connected Google Calendar, plus other calendars you can connect.

Managing your calendar connection

Under Connected calendar, your active calendar (for example Google Calendar) is shown with the account email and a Disconnect button.
Under Other calendars, click Connect next to Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar to link an additional account.

Note: Thout uses your connected calendar to know which meetings to join and prepare for. Disconnecting a calendar stops Thout from seeing meetings on it.

The Connect your tools section lets Thout reach you and send updates through your existing messaging apps.

Click Connect next to WhatsApp to link your WhatsApp number for updates and notifications.
Click Connect next to Slack to link your workspace so Thout can send actions and updates to Slack.

Tip: once connected, these channels also become available as delivery options for approved actions — see the Actions guide.

My Account tips & FAQ

How many meeting languages can I select?

Up to 5. The badge next to Meeting languages always shows your current count.

What happens if I turn off Auto join all?

Thout will no longer join every meeting on your calendar automatically — you'll need to add it to specific meetings yourself.

Can I connect more than one calendar?

Yes. Your primary connected calendar appears under Connected calendar; you can connect additional Google or Outlook calendars under Other calendars.

What does the Bot name in meetings setting change?

It sets the display name Thout's bot uses when it joins your calls, so participants see a name you choose instead of a default.

Do I have to connect WhatsApp or Slack?

No — they're optional. Connecting them simply gives Thout another channel to deliver notifications and approved actions.
