How to create a new account

On Thout, you sign up with your work email, or continue with Google, Microsoft, or Apple. Creating an account takes about two minutes and requires a quick email verification.

Create your account

1. Go to app.thout.ai.
2. Click Continue with Email > Sign up.
3. Enter your First Name, Last Name, and Work Email.
4. Create a Password and confirm it. Passwords must be at least 8 characters and include 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, 1 number, and 1 special character. The Create Account button stays disabled until every field is valid and both passwords match.
5. Click Create Account.
6. Review the AI Processing Notice, then click I Agree. If you click Cancel, your account won't be created — see About the AI Processing Notice.
7. Enter the 6-digit code sent to your email. The form submits automatically once all 6 digits are entered — no button needed. The code expires after 5 minutes.

Didn't get the verification code?

• Wait 30 seconds — the Resend code button becomes active.
• Click Resend code to get a new code at the same email address. The timer resets to 30 seconds after each resend.
• Check your spam or junk folder if the email doesn't arrive within a minute.

How to log in to Thout

You can log in with your email and password, or continue with Google, Microsoft, or Apple. All options are available on the same welcome screen.

Log in with email and password

1. Go to app.thout.ai.
2. Click Continue with Email.
3. Enter your Work Email and Password.
4. Click Sign In. Click the eye icon next to the password field to show or hide your password.

Log in with Google, Microsoft, or Apple

1. Go to app.thout.ai.
2. Click Sign In with Google, Sign In with Microsoft, or Continue with Apple.
3. Complete the provider's authentication in the pop-up window.
4. You're redirected into Thout automatically.

After you log in

You land on the Meetings page — your main dashboard showing captured meetings, upcoming meetings, and quick-access tools. See the Meetings guide for a tour.

How to reset a forgotten password

If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it in a few steps: enter your email, verify with a one-time code, then set a new password.

Reset your password

1. On the email login form, click Forgot password?.
2. Enter your registered Work Email > Continue. Thout emails you a 6-digit verification code.
3. Enter the 6-digit code. It submits automatically when complete. The code expires after 5 minutes; after 30 seconds you can click Resend code.
4. Enter your new password, confirm it, then click Reset Password. New passwords follow the same rules: 8+ characters with 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 number, and 1 special character.
5. A success dialog confirms the change — log in with your new password.

How your login session works

Thout keeps you signed in automatically, so you rarely need to log in again.

• Your session is stored securely in your browser and refreshes automatically in the background.
• You can be logged in on multiple browsers or devices at the same time — sessions are stored per browser.
• Closing the browser without logging out keeps you signed in the next time you open Thout in the same browser.
• If your session expires or becomes invalid, Thout automatically redirects you to the login page.
• Protected pages (such as Meetings, Pulse, and Actions) can't be opened without logging in — you'll be redirected to the login page.

How to log out of Thout

You can log out from your Account page at any time.

Log out

1. Click Account (the person icon) at the bottom of the left sidebar.
2. Scroll down and click Log out.
3. Optional: check Stop my bot from joining meetings if you don't want Thout to auto-join your calendar meetings while you're away.
4. Click Logout to confirm. You're returned to the login page.

About the AI Processing Notice

When you create a Thout account, you'll see an AI Processing Notice before your account is created. You must click I Agree to use Thout — here's what it means.

What data is sent to AI providers?

• Text prompts you enter in chat or search.
• Voice transcripts generated from your meeting recordings.
• Content you upload, such as documents and files.

Which AI providers does Thout use?

• OpenAI — language understanding and generation.
• Groq — fast inference on certain tasks.

Is my data used for advertising?

No. The consent notice states: "this data is used only to generate responses and is not used for advertising."
