founder memo: why we built this
We tried all the tools, AI notetakers, Zoom recaps, Google Docs. They captured words, not thinking.
One night, mentally fried, we opened our notes app and wrote: We don’t need a louder notepad. We need a thoughtful partner — one that turns talk into traction. That was the start of thout.
thout is the chief-of-staff you’ve always dreamed of, now easily accessible to all. It listens quietly, writes the most complete recap, assigns tasks, and provides insights on how you can run even more effective meetings in the future all before you leave the room. But most importantly, it remembers what your brain forgets.
thout doesn’t just make meetings more efficient. It makes every meeting matter, even the ones you can’t attend, because you can trust your chief of staff to go in your place. Maximizing your productivity while allowing you to breeze through your day.
We thout it was time to change up how we approach work. Since we have to do it, why not ensure it’s a little more pleasant, productive, and optimized to put our best foot forward. By leaning on technology, we’re able to augment our days in a way that leaves more room for what matters.
thout has a lot of cool functionality, sure, but we built all of it with one simple mission: so you can reclaim focus, energy, and time.
It’s for you. The people who value clarity over chaos, impact over activity. This isn’t about replacing humans, it’s about amplifying your capacity to think, decide, and lead.
We built thout because we needed it. And we believe it’s for anyone who wants to lead sharper, move faster, and live with more room to breathe.
Any questions or concerns? We’d love to hear your thouts at community@thout.ai
